Up, slight hangover. Coffee. Consider the possibility that the girls will leave me in the middle of nowhere with a pickaxe in my chest, and that I should ignore them and follow my original plan to go to Siauliai. Decide to run with my impression that they are genuinely nice girls doing me a favour. Besides, if I end up naked in a ditch at least I'll have a story to tell. I would rather regret something I did do than something I didn't.
I meet the girls and we see Trakai, a castle on a lake island. The lake is completely frozen and people are skiddooing and parachuting on it. We go to three or four villages or beauty spots - in one, Kristina and I borrow bumboards and enjoy some time generally failing at sliding down a snowy slope.
We head to a remote spot and Kristina jokes "OK, we leave you here now". I try not to look like I've already had the thought. We return to town and I buy them tea to say thanks. I feel it important to mention that at no point was a possible romantic engagement between the three of us hinted at, mentioned, offered or paricipated in.
The hostel's empty again so I head off by myself and have Lithuanian haggis. I reason that if I went to the Irish bar I'd probably end up disappointed by how much worse the night had gone compared to last night, so I wander into a few bars. Kebab. Bed.
